Fairy Kei In Winter - Style Tips

Fairy Kei In Winter - Style Tips

It's November and the weather is starting to get colder.

This time of the year people may want to just keep warm instead of Kawaii with layers of coats, boots, scarfs and mundane clothes.

However you can still dress up cute, you can still look Kawaii while trying to keep warm.

In this article will be some tips for wearing Fairy Kei in Winter.

What is Fairy Kei?

Fairy Kei ("Fairy Fashion") is a Japanese Street fashion made out of pastel colours (Although dark colours can still be used). More and more people oversea's have started wearing the style, and it has quickly become the most popular kawaii style, after lolita.

The style is easily confused with similair styles such as Pop Kei or Decora.

Now onto the keep warm tips!

Layers!
The style itself often consists of layers so adding extra to keep warm won't look out of place. Layering can also be pretty simple if you have a pre-existing Fairy Kei wardrobe. If you don't, some good places to start buying some clothes for layering are: SpreepickyHimi storeManiaq and MilkLim.

Boots
Boots will help keep your feet/legs warm and can also look cute with Fairy Kei.

There are also some Gyau brands that have brought out shoes which would look cute with Fairy.

Fairy Kei Haul - Accessories

Fairy Kei Haul - Accessories
Last week I had the chance to do some shopping in Glasgow, something which I rarely get to do so I always stock up on clothing. And this time was no different!
As I got so many things I’m breaking my haul blog into three parts and as the title suggests here I will be showing you what accessories I got. And also telling you where I got them so you can own them too!

All items shown are from the high street and very affordable! Shown are cute things from Primark, Topshop and H&M!

I saw these super cute things for my nails as normally I am very lazy and they never look cute. I’m going to try harder on them!
The packs of false nails are from Primark’s beauty section and were only £1 each so of course who could resist?! They have many other styles but these two were my favourite!
Topshop has a section with tons of colours of nail polish and so many of them are pastels! I spotted this pink one for £6 and decided it was perfect! They had on a special offer where they would apply a beauty product for you to try out so I had my nails done then proceeded to ruin them while shopping….

Next up is the perfect products for baby cute pink lips! First it a cute almost clear glitter lip gloss from H&M for only £1 and I love it! It’s not just the right amount of glitter for my liking.
Then is a lip gloss crayon from Primark. Sadly it was barely pink and more clear but did give a nice gloss effect. And for £1.50 it is pretty good.
And my new favourite lipstick is this one from Topshop for £8 and is called Innocent. It is a lovely pink colour! Sadly I couldnt get decent swatches of it so I’ll post a good swatch from online below!

Finally I got both of these in H&M for £1 each!
The collar is so cute! It has a clasp at the front and little pearls on it. And the A of course stands for Aya and is an iron on that I hope to put on one of my jumpers!

So this concludes the first part of my haul! Stay tuned for footwear next!

Review Time: Tofu Cute Sponsored Review

Review Time: Tofu Cute Sponsored Review

Tofu Cute is an adorable online store based in the UK which sells a variety of cute and tasty things! They have three major sections to their store:
Lifestyle- which has everything from cute miniatures, to little bento design sets.
Stationary- which has adorable puffy stickers, Pens
Snacks- They have everything from DIY candy making kits to range flavours of Pocky!

There is truly something here for everyone!

Tofu cute is a store I've adored for years now, from the first time I saw them at a convention I fell in love with their cute designs and wide selection of goodies. Tofu cute has really inspired me over the years and is one of the reasons I set up this blog.
Tofu cutes philosophy is to stay young at heart and allow fun items to inject positive energy into your everyday life! A saying that I strongly believe in and proudly love to promote through this blog.
But although this is a sponsored review I will be extremely honest about my opinion, though I have no complaints on the items my feedback on them is 100% genuine.

I'm extremely excited and happy to have been allowed to have been sponsored by them for this post. They sent me many adorable and cute items to review.
What I received from them:

£2.99

 £7.99

Everything was safely packed and arrived super quickly, and they included the cutest sticker on the tope of the box with their address on!

Kawaii Macaron Decora Sponge stickers

These stickers could melt anyone's heart. They're so sugary sweet looking and not only that they're 3d stickers and are soft and squishy to the touch. They're also really bold and not faded, which I've sadly had with previous stickers from Asia, but these are extremely vivid.

I have no clue what I will do with them since I think they look so cute just in its packet, though I might decorate my 3DS with them? What do you guys think you'd do with cute stickers and what would you put them on?

Either way I can't wait to use them, their design instantly caught my eye on the website and was Something I definitely intended to buy in the future.

Glico Japanese Pocky- Super thin Gokuboso

I've never been a massive fan of Pocky, I've only ever
mildly liked it. I've always found there was either not enough coating or too much of it. The super thin Pocky was so nice it changed my whole view on Pocky, it had the perfect ratio for me of pretzel stick and chocolate. Also just because its thinner doesn't mean you get less product since it comes in two small packets(which gives you a lot of Pocky) you can eat your fill and save lots more for later.

Meiji Apollo strawberry chocolate cones

I've been desperate to try this product for awhile and was actually my min priority to buy from the store so I was so happy when they included this I the review pack. It sounded delicious on the website but I never imagined how delicious.

Even unwrapping the film off the box released this fruity aroma which reminded me of the scent of fresh strawberries. And the taste did not disappoint!
The box design is so cute too, I was a could have miniature versions as hair clips or broaches? And since the box smells so tasty I'll be sad to throw it away.

~The pattern on the flap is so adorable~

Kawaii Bear And Bunny Dress Up Bento Set

I couldn't believe they sent me something so large and cute to review! I never even imagined I'd own this item yet here it is. If the packet itself doesn't make you feel warm inside then I don't know what will.
The box had adorable designs and even the instructions were adorable.  everything was really high quality (none of that flimsy breakable plastic that some kitchen utensils are) and didn't have that odd mechanical smell which is always a plus!
I will be doing a in depth review post/ cute bento post soon so please look forward to that!

Review summary!Shipping: N/A - The items were extremely quickly dispatched after discussing over emails and arrived really quickly too, it only took about 3 days to arrive which was really good. I never paid for the shipping but I know that Tofu cutes rates are really good, its only around £2.50 shipped within the UK, and if you spend over £20 then your shipping is free.

Products: 5/5 - I can't even express how much I love every single item I was sent. I sat down with my mother for about 20 minutes admiring the adorable contents of my parcel.

Price: N/A- Since it was a sponsored review I never had to pay anything for the items but I know that Tofu cute have amazingly good prices for what they sell. These are really nice items from Asia which have to be shipped a very long way to get to the UK and they still manage to sell their items at a very reasonable price
.

Quality: 5/5 Everything was sturdy, vividly printed, and highly delectable. There was not a single fault with any item and everything was as described on the site.

Over all: I really do love this store, I've brought from them for years at conventions and they just extremely lovely to buy from, they stock some adorable things (I mean Hannari tofu are my favourite thing in the entire world and a store which has its design based on tofu is more than just amazing).

I'm so happy that I've been able to work with I store I really love and hopefully you've enjoyed this review and feel more confident to visit
TofuCute.com

So what do you guys think, would you buy any of these items? What are your top 5 dream items from Tofu cute?

Review Time: Fuzzy Moon Jewellery
image

Hello everyone ^^
Today I'm writing a long awaited review for Fuzzy Moon who I am a sponsor for. But even though I am a sponsor this does not influence my opinion!
I received three lovely kawaii items from the UK based company! And I love all three of them!!

image
image
image

The were packaged so cutely and topped with a little bunny sticker! And included was the Fuzzy Moon card with a personal message just for me on the back. I love the Fuzzy Moon motto!

image

First up is the adorable Star Light Ring that you can buy HERE!
This ring is made of strong resin and has ting little pastel stars suspended within. They sparkle beautifully!

image

The band of the ring is lovely, it looks quilted and is adjustable. It is super comfy to wear, especially as I don't normally like to wear rings daily.

image

The resin star is very well attached to the ring band and I see no sign of it falling off. I'd definitely buy this in the other colour variation of pink!

image

image

Next up is this glittery Unicorn Horn Hairclip that you can buy in two colours HERE!
This clip is very well made and gradients perfectly. It is held in the hair by a long crocodile clip that can also fit through the gaps in wigs! So it is perfect no matter how you choose to wear it. Lilac is my favourite colour so this clip suits me well!

image

As with the ring the clip is very well put together and I see no signs of it breaking.

image

Finally is my favourite item from the whole lot of them! The Eyeball Chain Hairclips which are currently not for sale in the store. Sneak preview guys! ^^

image

Here is is!! The bows are so cute and I love how pretty and detailed the eyes are. There are little candy star beads hanging as a chain joining the two in the middle. I love that about it, it's not just a basic hairclip but an actual headpiece that adds so much interest! There is also a large star on the front clip.
This piece is very well made and shows no sign of breaking. It holds onto the hair with small crocodile clips and can easily be clipped onto a wig.

I'd like to thank the owner of Fuzzy Moon for sending me such wonderful items to review.
